Jean Lenke

With a beautifully smooth and soulful voice, Jazz-Folk vocalist Jean Lenke paints music in glorious full color, approaching her canvas with broad strokes and a free and abstract concept of Jazz form. Having launched her musical career late in life, her music is influenced by an eclectic mix of genres that span generations. Having recently made her home in the Pacific Northwest, on the Olympic Peninsula where she celebrates all the shades and hues life brings us here, feelings, beautifully expressed and set free!!

Jean’s "Jean Therapy West Band" artfully mixes classic 30’s & 40’s Jazz & Blues with free spirited 60's &  70's Folk Rock & Jazz-Rock Fusion, celebrating the soundtracks of generations past and present ~ familiar, yet slightly off center, with haunting appeal.

"Everything I know about music, I learned in Philadelphia. Philly tough me to sing, to write, and to fly free. When I realized I as moving west to Seattle, I knew I had to record my musical experiences before I left. Sometimes you just need to get off the couch and go for it! Whatever is pulling you forward, don’t settle. Give in to your own restlessness. Be brave! Just go for it and see where things land! You'll never regret it.” -Jean Lenke
